Il Foglio Numismatico. Periodico di letteratura sulla scienza delle monete is the new editorial project directed by Luca Lombardi, born from the dedication to a discipline which, despite having a history of thousands of years, continues to reserve extraordinary insights for historical reflection.
The periodical was started with the aim of deepening and sharing knowledge on numismatic literature, essential not only for the study of coins, but also for reconstructing the complex, and often tortuous, paths that led to the construction of knowledge. The objective will be pursued by highlighting the contributions of scholars who have left an indelible mark in this field.
The birth of Il Foglio Numismatico responds to a need felt in the Italian publishing panorama: the absence of a periodical dedicated exclusively to numismatic literature. Il Foglio Numismatico therefore aims to fill this gap, offering a tool for scholars, collectors and enthusiasts, with the ambition of becoming a point of reference for those who dedicate themselves to this sector of studies.
One of the distinctive elements of Il Foglio Numismatico is its particular format: each issue is created on a single, large sheet. The distinctive format not only offers an enjoyable reading experience, but also reflects our commitment to elegance and quality, characteristics that we believe are fundamental for a publication of this type.
