John Pedersen (1890-1960), numismatist and founder of J. Pedersen Mynthandel, a historic Scandinavian company specializing in numismatics that still exists today. Initially an entrepreneur in the clothing sector, John Pedersen left this sector to devote himself to antiques. It is known that during an auction in 1930, he acquired a chest full of coins. This aroused in him the interest in numismatics, so much so that he was convinced to sell all the antiques in his possession to devote himself exclusively to coins and medals.

Eugène Chaper (1827-1890), a well-known French politician and military engineer. In 1862 he became a member of the Académie Delphinale, holding the office of president from 1879. A well-known bibliophile, he has published many works on the subject. In his Castle of Eybens, he kept his very large library, which included great rarities and numerous autographs. He donated his collections to the Municipal Library of Grenoble and the Natural History Museum of the city. He was the brother of the zoologist and paleontologist Maurice Chaper and cousin of the President of the Republic of France Jean Casimir Perier.
